看著他們在場上的英姿，你是否也對劍擊產生了興趣呢？曾經只在電視上看到的劍擊運動已經悄然走進了香港人的生活當中。不管你是想要體驗練習劍擊的樂趣還是已經挎劍馳騁賽場，想要學好劍擊以下幾點必需得注意。

1、找出你學劍擊的原因。
為了健身、參加比賽或其他原因？練習劍擊初期可能會經歷枯燥無味的基礎訓練階段，你選擇劍擊的理由將是支撐你走下去的關鍵，進入實戰訓練你對劍擊的認識才算是剛剛上道，參加比賽才能真正體會到劍擊的樂趣。隨著學習的深入，當初選擇劍擊的初衷可能也會變，成為一名真正的劍客才是你的終極目標。

2、尋找劍擊俱樂部或學校。
挑選劍擊俱樂部時，你應該考慮：
它是否符合你的目標？如果你想參加比賽或奧林匹克運動會，就得挑個極具競爭力的俱樂部。如果你只想開心地玩，找找樂子，那就挑個比較悠閒的俱樂部。
它是否採取適當措施保證學員安全？劍擊者是否可以不戴面罩就劍擊？千萬別選允許學員如此胡鬧的俱樂部。(在之後的文章，我們會為大家介紹香港不同的劍擊俱樂部或學校讓你們參考)
另外，它的位置是否便利？這和劍擊本身並無關係，但位置方便，你才能經常往返俱樂部。

3、裝備：
許多俱樂部有備用的裝備。你可以先借用它們，應付前幾次的課程。當你確定自己真的很喜歡這項運動，想要繼續學下去，才找一家店購買自己的裝備。(在之後的文章，我們會為大家介紹不同的裝備以及哪裡購買讓你們參考)

4、選擇自己適合的劍種。
有的教練會讓你挑選武器（花劍、重劍或佩劍），有的則不給你選擇，直接讓你學花劍。許多劍擊教練認為正確的學習順序是花劍、重劍、佩劍。有的教練可能會先教重劍或佩劍。高中教練經常這麼做，因為他們必須在短時間內培養出使用各類武器的選手。有的人則比較喜歡從花劍開始。他們主張先學花劍，才能掌握重劍所需的擊點控制，了解主攻優先得分權（right of way，花劍及佩劍的重要規定），從而掌握正確的技巧。另一方則認同先學會花劍，才可以學重劍，但先學佩劍，一樣能掌握主攻優先得分權和劍擊技巧。當然，最終的選擇權在於你。(在之後的文章，我們會為大家介紹不同劍種的特性讓你們參考)

5、條件允許的情況下一定要參加比賽。
這一點怎麼強調都不過分。參加比賽時，你被迫在壓力下交出良好的表現。壓力讓你看見自己的弱點，之後就能與教練做這一方面的訓練。但是如果教練認為你尚未準備好，千萬不可以參賽。你必須達到一定的水平，才能參加真正的競賽。
全國性的劍擊比賽除了面對水平不齊的眾多對手，還要承受觀眾和家長的壓力，比賽就是舞台，讓孩子站在萬人中央，面對不同的眼神、表情，鍛煉勇敢的心理，逐漸戰勝內心的恐懼，讓孩子平時的天性在眾目睽睽之下得到解放，培養孩子將來敢於面對公眾，坦然鎮靜的成熟心態。(你可以在我們網頁找到本地不同的劍擊比賽資訊讓你參考)

6、切莫急於求成，量力而行。
學劍擊要注意保護好自己，千萬不要急著打實戰。以往，劍擊訓練都是多技術堂多，實戰堂少例如三天練習，一天實戰。入門階段，實戰主要用來啟發自己。要勤於思考，從實戰中悟出道理，悟出方法，悟出動作要領，然後在平時不斷練習，利用教練的指教和自己的實戰經驗調整動作，最後成為屬於自己的技術。
在肌肉力量不夠的時候，打實戰很容易受傷。建議向專業教練諮詢練哪些肌肉的力量、怎麼練。劍擊對下盤力量的要求非常高，反而對上肢要求沒那麼高 。
如果你擅長運動，身體協調性好，那身高對日常鍛煉身體，得到樂趣沒有多大影響，當然了，越高越好，矮個子也很多都比較靈巧。對於想學劍擊的人來說，其實門檻沒有太高，只要你有熱情和一定的身體素質，任何運動都不會拒絕你。

7、孩子的喜好加上家長的支持。
青少年開始喜歡接觸劍擊，從零開始進步總是很快，但是隨著訓練強度的加大，周圍人期望的升高，對手的範圍增大，對抗水平增強，從開始和一個學校一個俱樂部的選手比發展到全港甚至和全國丶全世界的同齡人比，小隊員心理和身體上的壓力都急劇加大。
以往很多小孩從8歲甚至6歲接觸劍擊，到現在往往4歲已經開始，到十幾歲出成績，十多年如一日的訓練丶比賽，相對其他小孩付出很多，如果再沒有發自內心的興趣和激情，每天練得時間再長，也只會是被動的應付，表現在精力不能集中丶思維和身體丶技術動作等脫節。
劍擊運動崇尚陽光丶健康丶自強丶自信丶快樂，對運動員綜合素質要求很高，要達到一定的高度，父母的正確引導非常關鍵。

8、劍擊感覺的培養。
「學而不思則罔，思而不學則殆」，練習劍擊不光要下苦力氣打好基礎，還要在訓練和比賽中經常思考和總結，找到自己的節奏和感覺……
比如劍擊的距離感、比賽過程中出劍的時機感、和自己的節奏感。（練劍擊不能缺的幾種感覺）
小提示：
多做訓練。幾乎所有劍擊者都認同訓練很枯燥，但沒人否認它們對提高技巧的重要性。不妨想像你正在用真正的武器攻擊真實的對手，使訓練不那麼枯燥乏味。
想學任何技巧的話，最好請教教練，或至少向教練指派的助教學習。
開始學習劍擊時，不要嘗試複雜冗長的進攻招式。先練習簡單、直接的技巧，否則你很容易犯下巨大的錯誤。
好好保養裝備，以延長它們的使用壽命。小心不要踩到卷線盤和計分用的燈箱，免得損壞俱樂部的裝備，影響學員們的練習，更有可能需要賠償。
